Kalrez O Rings
Definition
Kalrez O rings are special type of O rings that are designed and manufactured for the use in highly corrosive and demanding operating conditions where the temperature are higher than 300 degree Celsius and O ring is exposed to extreme chemical conditions. The word “Kalrez” is a brand name given by DuPont and the material that is used by these O rings is FFKM also called as Perfluoroelastomer (synthetic rubber).
Explanation
“Kalrez” O rings are the patented products of DuPont and are used in environment which involves high temperatures, solvents, plasmas. These types of O rings can withstand chemical reactions from more than 1800 chemicals. Some of the properties of Kalrez includes:
- High resistance to chemicals.
- Able to withstand temperatures ranging up to 327 degrees Celsius.
- Shows similar elasticity as FKM made O rings show.
- These Kalrez O rings are highly reliable and have long working life.
There are variety of Kalrez O rings available in the market that are used for various applications.
